The garden flew round with the angel,

The angel flew round with the clouds,
And the clouds flew round and the clouds flew round
And the clouds flew round with the clouds.

Is there any secret in skulls,
The cattle skulls in the woods?
Do the drummers in black hoods
Rumble anything out of their drums?

Mrs. Anderson's Swedish baby
Might well have been German or Spanish,
But that things go round and again go round
Has rather a classical sound.

Of instruction which does not become life

Modern man... has become a strolling spectator and has arrived at a condition in which even great wars and revolutions are able to influence him for hardly more than a moment... Thus the individual grows fainthearted and unsure and dares no longer believe in himself: he sinks into his own subjective depths, which here means into the accumulated lumber of what he has learned but which has no outward effect, of instruction which does not become life.

"I had no anxieties about artistic failure"

I’ll think about that tomorrow.

Because of the alarming nature of darkness

The lighting must be better protected than now. The lamps must be enclosed in a steel grid to prevent their being damaged. Lights could be eliminated, since they are never used. However, it has been observed that when the doors are shut, the load always presses hard against them as soon as darkness sets in, which makes closing the doors difficult. Also, because of the alarming nature of darkness, screaming always occurs when the doors are closed. It would therefore be useful to light the lamps before and during the first moments of the operation.

Imitate the seamless heavens, lie
forehead lost in deepest dirt. My ear
is to your breast, I hear the grass
grow words. Its lips are yours, moving.

But then are we in order when we are most out of order.

William Shakespeare, Henry VI

and other / escape substances

To flourish we must absorb more than we exude.
It is normal therefore for the body to perish.
But much does drip and escape from the corporeal
tissues and we use this excess to make belief and other
escape substances.
